YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US
CLUEBELL STUDIO (“we”, “our”, “us”) develops and publishes Boom Bloom (the “Game”). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to information when you play it.
In short: Boom Bloom has no accounts and no servers of ours. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and no server of ours receives anything from the Game. Your progress is a file on your own device. The Game is free because it shows adverts, supplied by Google AdMob, and Google receives information about your device, including its advertising identifier. Google Analytics for Firebase shows us how the Game is played, as described below. Purchases are handled by Google Play. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the Game asks for your consent before adverts are personalised, and in the United States you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information, from the Game’s Settings or your device, as the United States section explains.
By downloading or playing the Game, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
The Game keeps your progress and settings in a save file on your device. That includes:
The file is signed, so the Game can tell if it has been altered. The Game never sends the file to us — there is no server of ours to send it to. It stays on the device until you uninstall the Game or clear its data, and we hold no copy that we could restore. Google’s consent form also keeps your answers on your device. What the Game’s advertising partner receives is described in the next section.
One thing is outside the Game’s control. If Android’s own backup is switched on for your Google account, Android may keep a copy of the Game’s data in that account and put it back when you reinstall. That copy is kept by Google under your account, not by us, and you manage it in your device’s backup settings.
The Game shows adverts through Google AdMob, Google’s advertising service, using Google’s advertising software inside the Game. Some adverts appear between shows (the Game’s levels), and a banner appears at the bottom of the screen on the menus and during play, in a strip of its own below the playing area; others are optional and reward you for choosing to watch them. To choose, deliver and measure those adverts, and to detect advertising fraud, Google’s software collects and sends to Google:
Google and its partners use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure adverts. How Google uses information from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google’s own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or anywhere else Google’s software applies the same consent rules, the Game uses Google’s consent form — Google’s User Messaging Platform — to ask for your consent before adverts are personalised. You can change your answer at any time with the privacy choices option in the Game’s Settings. If you decline, you will still see adverts, but they will not be personalised.
If you are in the United States, see “Do Not Sell Or Share My Personal Information” below.
The Game includes Google Analytics for Firebase, a Google service that shows us, as reports, how the Game is played, so that we can find problems and improve it. It is switched on only in versions of the Game that we publish with a Firebase configuration. In a version published without one it does not start, and sends nothing. When it is on, Google receives:
Where the law requires consent, the Game sends Google nothing until you have given it through the consent tool described above, and you can withdraw it at any time from PRIVACY CHOICES in the Game’s Settings. Elsewhere it runs from the Game’s first launch. Google explains how Firebase handles this information at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Optional purchases are processed entirely by Google Play, through Google Play Billing. Your payment details are given to Google, never to us. The Game receives confirmation that a purchase succeeded, and records what you bought in its save file on your device so that it can unlock it.
No record of your purchases is sent to us: the Game has no server to send it to. Each time it starts, the Game asks Google Play which one-off purchases your Google account owns, so that they stay unlocked.
Once, after you have finished the Game’s first city, the Game may ask Google Play to show its own rating prompt. The prompt is Google Play’s: if you rate or review the Game there, your rating goes to Google Play under your Google account, as Google Play’s own terms describe. The Game is not told whether you rated it, or what you wrote.
If you email us — for example with the support option in the Game’s Settings, which opens your own email app — we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach, and the details the support option adds to the message for you, such as the Game’s version number. You can read and remove them before you send. We use them to reply to you.
We do not sell or rent information about you for money. The Game passes information to these third parties, and to no one else:
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. We hold no account and no personal information about you on any server of ours, so the fastest routes are usually direct:
To make a request of us, or to complain, write to info@cluebellstudio.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you live in California or another US state with a comparable privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. The advertising described above may count as “selling” or “sharing” under some of these laws. You can opt out of it in two ways, and you will still see adverts afterwards:
Google’s privacy policy, linked above, describes the rights you have with Google directly. The Game has no server, so we cannot change Google’s settings for you from our side, but you can write to us at info@cluebellstudio.com with any request.
This notice is for players in India. CLUEBELL STUDIO decides how the Game processes personal data. In summary:
Boom Bloom is not directed to children under the age of 13, and its intended audience is 13 and over. Its adverts are requested for a general audience, without the protections Google applies to apps for children, so the Game is not suitable for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We hold none on any server of ours; if you believe a child under 13 has been playing, uninstall the Game on their device and ask Google to delete what it holds, through its privacy policy linked above. Contact us at info@cluebellstudio.com and we will help.
Players under 18 should play only with the consent of a parent or guardian, as our Terms and Conditions explain.
Information stored on your device remains there until you uninstall the Game or clear its data, subject to Android’s own backup described above. Information Google receives is kept under Google’s policies, linked above.
Google operates globally, so information described in this policy may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Google uses its own safeguards for such transfers, described in its privacy policy.
The save file on your device is signed, so that tampering can be detected. No server of ours receives data from the Game, and Google’s software sends what is described above over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the exposure here is small by design: no server of ours holds anything about you to lose.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Game’s data practices — for example if we add an advertising network or an analytics service — or in legal requirements. We will update the effective date at the top of this page, and notify you of significant changes in the Game.
